No Control Exceptions: What Our Clean SOC 1 Report Means for Our Clients
August 25, 2026
We are pleased to share that FTI Treasury has once again achieved an outstanding SOC 1 (SSAE 18) report for the period from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. This year’s report was 100% clean, with no control exceptions noted — a result that underscores our ongoing commitment to security, confidentiality and compliance on behalf of our clients.
For those less familiar with assurance reporting, the phrase no exceptions can sound like a technicality. In practice, it is one of the clearest signals available that the controls protecting our clients’ cash, data and reporting are working exactly as they should — and that is why we are so proud of it.
Why This Report Comes Before the Work Does
For most of our clients, a clean SOC 1 report is not a nice-to-have. It is a prerequisite.
When a treasury function is outsourced, the client organisation remains accountable for controls it no longer performs itself. Their auditors, their risk committees and their own regulators need independent evidence that those controls are well designed and operating effectively. A SOC 1 report — produced by an independent auditor rather than by us — provides exactly that assurance. Put simply, without it our clients would find it difficult to work with us, and this report is the foundation everything else is built upon.
What “No Exceptions” Tells You
A SOC 1 (SSAE 18) engagement tests whether our internal controls over financial reporting are both suitably designed and operating effectively across the entire reporting period. Where a control does not operate as intended, even briefly, the auditor notes an exception.
A report with zero exceptions across a full year means every tested control held up each time it was examined. For our clients, that offers three practical reassurances:
- Continuity you can rely on — the processes handling your payments, reconciliations, accounting and reporting behaved consistently throughout the year.
- A smoother audit for your own team — you can provide our report to your auditors and answer their outsourcing questions with independent evidence.
- Fewer surprises — with no exceptions, there are no remediation items to track, explain or follow up.
Assurance That Is Built In, Not Bolted On
A clean result of this kind is never achieved in the weeks before an audit. It is the product of controls embedded in how our teams work every day, supported by our continuous improvement initiatives, regular internal reviews and comprehensive training programmes.
Maintaining this standard year after year takes discipline and dedication across every part of the business, and it is something the entire FTI Treasury team can take genuine pride in.
“A 100% clean report with no control exceptions noted is a testament to everyone’s hard work in implementing and maintaining our control environment,” said Justin Callaghan, CEO at FTI Treasury. “Achieving this is really important, as without it our clients would find it difficult to work with us. My thanks to the entire team for their continued commitment.”
Looking Forward
As we celebrate this achievement, we remain committed to sustaining and improving our high standards. As our clients’ needs evolve and the operating environment grows more complex, our control framework will continue to develop alongside them. The clean report to June 2026 sets a benchmark for our future endeavours and motivates us to keep striving for excellence in all that we do.
We extend our gratitude to our clients for the trust they place in us — it is that trust our control environment exists to protect — and we thank our incredible team for their hard work and commitment to making FTI Treasury a leader in the industry. Here’s to another year of success and unwavering dedication to financial excellence.
